Lipstick Tips and Tricks!

I decided today to share with you all some lipstick tips and tricks! There's more to lipstick than there first seems, I hope you find these useful and if you have any other tips and tricks you know leave them in a comment below.

The first think to overcome is picking the right colour in the shop, different skin tones can pull off different shades. If you have pale lips, the lipstick shades you should lean towards are, beige, sandy pink, light coral, pale pink and bright red. If you have medium lips, you should look at colours like brown, rose, pink, orange and warm red. If you have dark lips you should choose colours like brown, deep red, plum, deep chocolate, deep raisin/berries. And finally if you have two-tones lips you should head towards colours like chocolate, blackberry, deep plum, deep raisin and deep red.

A fab way to check the colour of the lipsticks your looking at whilst in the shop is rather than testing the colour on the back of your hand, test it on your fingertip. This way you get a better idea of whether the colour will suit your skin tone or not because you can hold your finger tip up to your face and check the colour against your skin. The other benefit of doing it this way is that the skin on your fingertip is much more similar to the skin on your lips that the back of your hand would be.

Always wanted to be able to apply your lipstick once and get it to last all day?
Well now you can! The trick here is to apply a coat of regular lipstick and then take a single ply tissue, lay it over your lips and powder lightly over the tissue, this will set the colour and stop it feathering or running.

Now you've got your lipstick to last all day, you want it to make your lips look plump and full, right?
Well you can! All you need to do is once you've applied your lipstick, apply a tiny bit of gold or silver lipgloss on your bottom lip and wola! Plump and full lips. Be sure not to blot your lips after this step because it will ruin the effect!

I hope you enjoyed all these lipstick tips and tricks, and I look forward to reading yours in the comments below, also let me know which ones of these you try and tell me what you think to them!
